GLEN BURNIE, MD – A violent altercation in the parking lot of a Giant Food store located in the 6600 block of Ritchie Highway in Glen Burnie led to an assault with a knife yesterday.

Two individuals became involved in a heated argument, during which 37-year-old Clayton Nathaniel Baublitz of Halethorpe, MD, allegedly pulled out a knife and lunged at the victim.

The suspect then fled the scene on foot.

Responding officers quickly arrived at the scene and began searching the area.

They located Baublitz shortly after and arrested him without further incident. Baublitz has been charged with assault and related charges in connection with the knife attack. The victim did not suffer any life-threatening injuries and is expected to make a full recovery.
