Police investigate report of multiple gunshots in Penn Township

PENN TOWNSHIP, PA – Northern Lancaster County Regional Police Department (NLCRPD) responded today to reports of shots fired in the 400 block of South Main Street in Penn Township. Multiple calls were made to the LCWC 911 Center, reporting the sound of more than ten gunshots in the area.

Upon investigation, it was determined that the source of the gunshots was a subject engaged in target shooting nearby. The NLCRPD patrols confirmed that no crime or ordinance violation had occurred, and there were no injuries associated with the reported incident.

The location of the incident was identified as 440 S Main Street, near the intersection of Shimp Street and Hillside Avenue in Stevens, PA.

The NLCRPD assured the public that there is no ongoing threat to the community.
