Three Juveniles Charged with Assaulting Teacher, Three Adults Also charged

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ – A violent altercation erupted at Atlantic City High School on Wednesday, involving three female students, ages 14-16, and a 24-year-old substitute teacher.

School security intervened, and local law enforcement was notified. The juveniles have been charged with aggravated assault on the teacher, who sustained minor injuries.

In a related incident, while awaiting the release of the juveniles from police custody, a fight broke out among adult guardians Monique Spellman, 42, Tanika Joyce, 45, and Brandi Braxton, 31.

Police officers on the scene intervened and charged the individuals with disorderly conduct. The school district is reviewing its policies and procedures to ensure the safety of staff and students.
