Boonsboro man wins $50k on lottery scratch-off ticket

BOONSBORO, MD – A Boonsboro man has claimed his $50,000 prize after playing the Maryland Lottery’s scratch-off game Money Bag Multiplier. The lucky winner, who limits his spending to $50 worth of tickets per visit, picked up his winning ticket at Alex Convenience Store in Boonsboro.

The man’s name has been withheld for privacy.

The man said he usually wins enough for lunch the next day, but his recent $50,000 prize is his biggest win yet. The win came on the $10 game Money Bag Multiplier, which had nine top prizes of $100,000, with thousands of additional prizes ranging from $10 to $10,000.

The winner, who mainly enjoys playing $5 and $10 scratch-off tickets, said he plans to take a trip to Florida to visit family and potentially go on a Caribbean cruise or a beach-focused island trip.

The Money Bag Multiplier game went on sale starting April 24, and the ticket sold in Boonsboro was the first of the game’s nine $50,000 second-tier prizes to be claimed.
