Shooting in Northeast DC Leaves Teen Hospitalized

WASHINGTON, D.C. – A male teenager was shot this afternoon in Northeast, D.C. The Washington, D.C. Metro Police Department is investigating the shooting.

Officers arrived at the 600 block of Division Avenue to investigate a report of a shooting at around 1 p.m. Police found a teenager suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was taken to a nearby hospital and is currently in stable condition.

Police have released a description of the suspect, described as a black male, “5’7, 140lbs, black mask, beige pants, black jacket, new balance shoes, last seen fleeing towards 5201 Hayes Street.”
