West New York teen charged with sexual asssault of 12-year-old girl

WEST NEW YORK, NJ – West New York resident Marcos Quexordon, 19, has been arrested and charged by the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit for committing a sex crime on a 12-year-old girl in a West New York apartment on April 29.

Quexordon is known to the victim, and he was charged with Sexual Assault by Contact in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:14-2b, a second-degree crime, and Endangering the Welfare of a Child in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:24-4a, a third-degree crime.

He was arrested at the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office in Secaucus and taken to the Hudson County Correctional Facility, where he awaits his first court appearance. The State has filed a Motion for Detention in this matter, and the hearing is tentatively scheduled for Thursday, May 4, 2023.

Prosecutor Esther Suarez gave credit to the Special Victims Unit and the West New York Police Department for their prompt action and cooperation in the investigation and arrest.
