Thieves targeting unlocked vehicles in Upper Merion

UPPER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA – On Sunday, between 5:00 am and 6:00 am, numerous unlocked vehicles in Lafayette Park neighborhood were unlawfully entered and burglarized. The thefts occurred near Keebler Road, General Knox, General Muhlenberg, and General Steuben Roads. Numerous items, including cash and personal property, were stolen from the vehicles.

Upper Merion Police are investigating the thefts and urging residents to check their vehicles and any home surveillance systems for suspicious activity during that time frame. Most of the thefts appear to have targeted unlocked vehicles, highlighting the importance of securing vehicles and valuables.

Authorities are asking residents to remain vigilant and to always lock their vehicles, remove valuables, and report any suspicious activities. Anyone who may have more information or video footage related to the thefts is asked to contact Upper Merion Police immediately at 610-265-3232.
