Woman dies after being shot in Northeast D.C.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Washington, D.C. Metro Police Department is investigating the shooting death of a woman yesterday morning in Northeast, D.C.

Shortly after 11 am, officers arrived at the 3700 Block of Jamison Street to investigate a shooting. Upon arrival, police found an adult female who had been the victim of a shooting. The woman was taken to a nearby hospital where she later died.

The motive or events that led to the shooting have not been disclosed by law enforcement. Furthermore, the victim’s identity has not been released at this time.
