Police continue investigating Paterson shooting incident

PATERSON, NJ – Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Department Officer-In-Charge Major Frederick P. Fife announced on Friday that a 26-year-old Paterson resident suffered a non-fatal gunshot wound on April 23, initially believed to have occurred within Paterson city limits.

However, investigators have since determined that the incident took place outside the city.

The investigation remains active and ongoing, with more information to be released as it becomes available.

The victim was taken to University Medical Center in Newark, NJ, for treatment.
