UTICA, NY – On Thursday, Utica Police arrested Tiffany Geary, 46, after she fired shots into the air during a juvenile altercation near Stevens St and Sunset Ave. Police were initially dispatched to the area for a shots-fired investigation when they received information about a suspect vehicle leaving the scene.

The NY/NJ Regional Marshalls Task Force located the vehicle and conducted a stop on Green St a few minutes later.

The vehicle was occupied by Geary, who was detained for questioning after officers noticed spent shell casings in the car. During the investigation, officers discovered the weapon used was still in the vehicle and found a loaded .40 caliber handgun inside.

Geary faces multiple charges, including Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the second and third degree, and Criminal Possession of a Firearm.

The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are urging anyone with additional information to come forward.
