28-year-old shot in the head, killed in the Bronx

NEW YORK, NY – A 28-year-old Bronx man was shot in the head and killed early Saturday morning.

According to police, NYPD officers responded to a 911 call reporting a shooting incident near East 139 Street and Morris Avenue at around 4:30 am.

Upon arriving at the scene, officers found a 28-year-old male lying unconscious and unresponsive on the ground with a gunshot wound to the head.

Emergency Medical Services responded to the location and declared the victim at the scene. He was identified as Adama Camara.

No arrests have been made at this time.
