Police investigating shooting in Queens after man shot in groin

NEW YORK – A man was shot in the groin late Friday night in Queens. According to police, a dispute in the area of 215-22 99th Avenue escalated to gunfire at around 11:15 pm.

Now, detectives with New York City Police Department’s 105 Precinct seek help from the public in identifying an individual in connection with the shooting.

Police said a 25-year-old male victim was walking when he got into a dispute with an unknown male who then shot him once in the groin area. The individual fled on foot southbound on 215th Street. The victim was transported to North Shore University Hospital and is in stable condition.
