Victim in Friday night shooting in Syracuse expected to survive

SYRACUSE, NY – On Friday night, a man was reported shot on East Fayette Street in Syracuse. According to Onondaga County 911 Center dispatches, the victim was dropped off at Upstate University Hospital’s emergency room with a gunshot wound around 9:07 p.m.

The shooting reportedly took place in the 2000 block of East Fayette Street.

Police arrived at the scene and blocked off the street starting at Westmoreland Avenue, using police cruisers and yellow tape.

Officers have observed shining flashlights along the street in search of evidence and potential suspects. It is unclear at this time whether any suspects have been identified or apprehended.
