FREEHOLD, NJ – Walter Orlando Perez-Ramos, 35, of Asbury Park, has been recently sentenced to 17 years and six months in prison for sexually abusing two juvenile siblings over several years.

The abuse began when the victims were ages six and eight and continued for approximately five years.

Perez-Ramos was arrested in 2022 after a thorough investigation by the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Bureau.

He will be required to serve at least 85 percent of the first 16 years of the sentence before becoming eligible for parole under New Jersey’s No Early Release Act (NERA).

Judge Jill G. O’Malley also ordered that Perez-Ramos register as a sex offender under Megan’s Law and be subject to Parole Supervision for Life upon his release.
