Gunman entered rideshare vehicle, fired shot during armed robbery

GLEN BURNIE, MD – A frightening incident unfolded on Sunday, at approximately 2:50 a.m., when an attempted robbery and gunfire were reported on Margate Drive in Glen Burnie.

The victim had just arrived home in a ride-share vehicle when an unknown male entered the car uninvited. The suspect demanded money and personal belongings from the victim.

A struggle ensued between the victim and the suspect, during which a round was discharged from the suspect’s firearm.

The gunshot struck didn’t strike anyone, fortunately.

The suspect fled the scene on foot, and authorities have launched a search for the individual.

The suspect is described as a white male in his 20s, approximately 5’7″ tall and weighing around 130 lbs. Anyone with information about the suspect or the incident is urged to contact the police.
