Elroy Elementary School on High Alert Following Threatening Message

BRENTWOOD, PA – A threatening message delivered to a student at Elroy Elementary School on Tuesday, sparked a joint investigation by local and federal law enforcement.

Brentwood Borough School Police Officers, who were the first to be alerted, requested assistance from the Allegheny County Police, Allegheny County Sheriff’s Department K9 unit, and the FBI.

The agencies worked in unison to promptly address the situation and ensure the safety of all students and staff at the school. The full extent of the threat has not been disclosed, but it was determined to be a hoax.
