$400k winning lottery ticket sold in Newark

NEWARK, NJ – A Newark resident has won the $409,613 Jersey Cash 5 jackpot from the Wednesday, May 10th drawing, according to lottery officials. The winning numbers were 12, 15, 29, 36, and 43, with an XTRA number of 02.

The lucky ticket holder matched all five numbers drawn, earning the jackpot prize. The identity of the winner has not yet been disclosed.

The winning ticket was sold at Firehouse Liquor Inc. located at 273 Park Avenue in Newark. As the retailer who sold the winning ticket, Firehouse Liquor Inc. will receive a bonus check for $2,000.

Jersey Cash 5 is a daily lottery game that offers players the chance to win big jackpots by matching five numbers from a pool of 1-43. The game has a minimum jackpot of $100,000 and offers a chance to win the jackpot prize for just $1 per play.

Lottery officials are urging the winner to sign the back of their ticket and contact lottery headquarters to claim their prize. Winners have one year from the date of the drawing to claim their prize.
