71-year-old man beaten and robbed in Midtown

NEW YORK, NY -The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying an individual involved in an assault against an elderly man in Midtown.

On Saturday, at approximately 9:06 PM, an unknown individual approached a 71-year-old male victim at 235 W. 55 Street.

The suspect punched the victim in the face and pushed him to the ground. The victim was transported by EMS to Mt. Sinai West for medical treatment. The attacker fled westbound on W. 55 Street.

The NYPD urges anyone with information about this incident to call the Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or to submit tips online.
