Cuyahoga County Grand Jury Indicts DaJuan Evans for 2019 Murder

CLEVELAND, OH – After a lengthy investigation spanning several years, on Thursday the Cuyahoga County grand jury has indicted 22-year-old DaJuan Evans for the murder of Sheila Wallace, a 58-year-old Cleveland resident, that took place in 2019.

The incident occurred in McGowan Park, a local neighborhood park, while Wallace was out walking her dog, a routine she had maintained for years.

Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Michael C. O’Malley addressed the media, expressing his gratitude towards the tireless work of law enforcement agencies whose joint efforts led to the indictment.

He praised the detectives and forensic team, highlighting their relentless pursuit of justice over the years. Despite the challenges presented by the case, their commitment to the truth never wavered.

O’Malley also expressed his heartfelt sympathies to the victim’s family, acknowledging the immense pain and loss they have endured.
