String of Armed Robberies Plague Mt. Rose Avenue in Spring Garden

SPRING GARDEN, PA – The Spring Garden Police Department is currently investigating two recent armed robberies believed to be connected. Both incidents occurred in the Mt. Rose Avenue area and appear to have been committed by the same suspect. The first robbery took place on April 26, 2023, at the Central Mart at 1200 Mt. Rose Ave.

The suspect, described as a 6′ tall black male wearing mechanic-style gloves, a navy-blue Columbia brand coat, black pants, shoes, and a ski mask, brandished a black handgun during the robbery. Just two days later, a similarly described suspect struck the Family Dollar at 1025 Mt. Rose Ave. The suspect was once again armed and fit the same physical description as the previous incident. The Spring Garden Township Police are asking anyone with information about these robberies to contact them or Detective Dony Harbaugh directly.
