NEW ROCHELLE, NY – On Monday, at approximately 7:36 pm, New Rochelle Police responded to a Keough Lane home following a report of a menacing involving a handgun.

The dispute was between two parties known to each other, and it was established that a menacing had indeed occurred. The suspect, Fernando Gonzalez, 24, of New Rochelle, was arrested at the scene. The firearm used during the crime, a ‘ghost gun’ without a serial number, was recovered at the scene.

Further investigation led to the discovery of additional firearms in the suspect’s home: 1 rifle, 1 shotgun, 1 revolver, 1 AR pistol, and a second ‘ghost gun’. Both ghost guns are believed to be 9mm handguns.

Gonzalez was arrested without incident and held for arraignment on Wednesday, on multiple charges, including criminal possession of a weapon, criminal possession of a firearm, criminal possession of an assault weapon, unlawful possession of an ammo feeding device, and menacing.
