Woman shot in Paterson, critical but expected to survive

PATERSON, NJ – A shooting incident on Wednesday morning has left a 34-year-old woman from Paterson in hospital. The incident occurred at around 11:50 a.m. at an undisclosed location within the city.

The woman made her way to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson.

The medical staff attending to her have confirmed that while her injuries are serious, they do not pose a life-threatening risk at this time.

The Paterson Police Ceasefire Unit has initiated an investigation into the incident. While no suspects have been identified yet, the investigation is ongoing. The unit has called on the public, requesting anyone with information about the shooting to contact them at 973-321-1342.
