19-year-old arrested for fatal Bronx stabbing

NEW YORK, NY – A 19-year-old male has been arrested and charged with murder, manslaughter, and criminal possession of a weapon in connection with a fatal stabbing that occurred in the Bronx on Monday, May 8.

Naisaih Diaz was arrested on Friday at around 1:30 pm by officers from the 44th Precinct.

According to police, the victim, a 33-year-old male, was in front of 206 East 167 Street when he got into a verbal dispute with an unidentified male individual on Monday, May 8, at approximately 7:48 pm.

The unidentified male individual then stabbed the victim in the abdomen with a knife and fled on foot. The victim was taken to NYC Health and Hospitals/Lincoln where he was pronounced dead.

The individual being sought is described as a male, approximately 18 to 25 years of age, 5’8″ to 5’11” tall, 155 to 160 pounds and was last seen wearing a white-collar shirt, black vest, black pants, and white sneakers. The individual then removed his white shirt and black vest and was seen wearing a black t-shirt underneath.
