65-year-old woman involved in fatal motorcycle crash in April passes

NEW CASTLE, DE – A fatal motorcycle collision that occurred on Wednesday, April 20, 2023, is under investigation by the Delaware State Police. The incident took place around 3:50 p.m. on North Dupont Highway, just north of School Lane. A Kawasaki motorcycle collided with a Volkswagen Jetta that was making a U-turn across the highway.

The occupants of the Jetta, a 24-year-old man from Chichester, Pennsylvania, and his 45-year-old passenger from Middletown, Delaware, were unharmed.

The driver and passenger of the motorcycle, a 71-year-old man and a 65-year-old woman from Bear, Delaware, were transported to a hospital. The female passenger died last Monday, due to injuries sustained in the collision.
