Bucks County Grand Jury Indicts Man for Brother-In-Law’s Death

BENSALEM, PA – Antwan McKoy, a 37-year-old resident of Maple Shade, New Jersey, was indicted by the Bucks County Grand Jury on Friday. The charges, which include Involuntary Manslaughter, Simple Assault, Recklessly Endangering Another Person, and Harassment, are in connection to an incident that took place in June 2022.

The incident occurred on Sunday, June 19, 2022, at Bucks Meadows Apartments located at 3131 Knights Road, Bensalem. During an argument, McKoy allegedly grabbed Michael Whispell, his brother-in-law, by the neck and assaulted him. Whispell later succumbed to his injuries on July 4, 2022. The autopsy revealed the cause of death as complications from a blunt impact injury to the head.

McKoy turned himself into Bensalem Police and was arraigned by District Justice Joseph Falcone. He is currently held at Bucks County Correctional Facility with bail set at 10% of $5,000,000.
