SUFFOLK COUNTY, NY – Suffolk County District Attorney Raymond A. Tierney recently announced that 34-year-old Jose Romero of Centereach was sentenced to 12 years in prison.
Romero pleaded guilty in April 2023 to having sexual intercourse with a six-year-old girl back in October 2021.
Romero was sentenced on Friday, by County Court Judge Karen M. Wilutis.
In addition to his prison sentence, he will be under 10 years of post-release supervision and is required to register as a sex offender. Romero’s defense attorney was Christopher Brocato, Esq.
