Fatal Shooting in Forestville Leaves 18-year-old Dead

FORESTVILLE, MD – On Thursday, a fatal shooting occurred in Forestville, prompting an investigation by the Prince George’s County Police Department’s Homicide Unit.

The victim was identified as Kendall Batson, an 18-year-old resident of District Heights.

The incident unfolded at approximately 6:35 pm in a parking lot located in the 2300 block of Ritchie Road. Officers arriving at the scene found Batson suffering from a gunshot wound. He was promptly transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
