Man Sought in Connection with Subway Robbery in Brooklyn

BROOKLYN, NY – The New York City Police Department’s 62nd Precinct is seeking public assistance in identifying an individual in connection with a robbery that occurred on Thursday, April 27, 2023.

The incident took place at approximately 12:50 pm on a northbound MTA ‘D’ train, near the New Utrecht and 62 Street station. An unknown male reportedly threatened a 19-year-old victim with a knife, demanding his chain. The robber then forcibly removed the chain and threatened to harm the victim if he left the train.

The suspect is described as a male in his early 20’s, approximately 6’1”, of a heavy build, and with a dark complexion. He was last seen wearing a tan jacket, baseball cap, multi-colored sweatpants and sweatshirt.
