Police investigating after body washes up on banks of Ohio River

OHIO TWP, PA – On Thursday, the Allegheny County Police Department’s Homicide Unit was notified of a body discovered along the shoreline of the Ohio River near the Neville Chemical Company in Ohio Township. The call to County 9-1-1 was made at approximately 1:55 pm.

First responders were dispatched to the scene, where they found an adult male victim.

The circumstances surrounding the discovery prompted the call for the Homicide Unit, which then took over the investigation.

Following the preliminary investigation at the scene, the victim’s body was transported to the Medical Examiner’s Office.

As of now, few details have been released regarding the incident.
