Teen charged for Jersey City sexual assault and robbery of 63-year-old woman

JERSEY CITY, NJ – Jersey City, New Jersey – Elijah Lloyd, an 18-year-old from Jersey City, has been arrested on charges of sexual assault against a 63-year-old woman inside a local business.

The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit arrested Lloyd on Friday on charges of kidnapping, aggravated sexual assault, robbery, terroristic threats, and theft.

The Jersey City Police Department received a 911 call on Wednesday at around 8:24 p.m., reporting a sexual assault. The victim, a 63-year-old woman, reported that an unknown male had entered a business on West Side Avenue, south of Communipaw Avenue. The suspect then robbed and sexually assaulted her.

He is currently in police custody and awaiting trial.

The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office is urging anyone with any additional information regarding this incident to contact them immediately.
