Man hospitalized during attack at 42nd Street subway station

NEW YORK, NY – A man was assaulted on the subway platform of 42nd Street- Time Square station on Tuesday, May 9, according to the New York City Police Department.

The 38-year-old victim was involved in a dispute with two unknown individuals who hit him on the head with a portable speaker before fleeing the scene. The victim sustained minor injuries and was transported to NYC Health and Hospitals/ Bellevue in stable condition.

The suspects are both described as light-complexioned males around 5’7″ tall and weighing approximately 150 pounds. One was seen wearing a blue jacket, blue jeans, and carrying a blue book bag, while the other wore a black hat, black hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, and carried a gray book bag and a black speaker.

The police have released media of the suspects and are asking for the public’s help in identifying and locating them. The incident occurred within the confines of Midtown South Precinct/ Transit District 1.
