Fatal Stabbing in Trenton Under Investigation

TRENTON, NJ – The Mercer County Homicide Task Force and the Trenton Police Department are investigating a fatal stabbing that occurred last Sunday evening

. At approximately 10:46 p.m., Trenton police responded to a reported stabbing on the 500 block of Second Street.

Upon arrival, officers discovered a male victim, 27-year-old Roger Martinez-Rodriguez of Trenton, suffering from a stab wound to the torso. Martinez-Rodriguez was transported to Capital Health Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead a few hours later.

No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing. Information regarding the case can be reported to MCHTF Detective Jennifer Eyster at (609) 989-6406.
