Man shot in head, arm during armed robbery in the Bronx


NEW YORK, NY – A verbal dispute between two men turned violent on Monday, escalating to a broad daylight shooting.

The incident happened at approximately 1:15 pm in front of 858 Westchester Avenue in the Bronx.

According to the NYPD, one of the individuals brandished a firearm during the argument and fired multiple shots, injuring the 48-year-old male victim in the head and arm.

The suspect then took the victim’s cellphone and fled on foot. The victim received medical attention from EMS and was transported to NYC Health and Hospitals/Lincoln, where he remains in serious but stable condition.

Authorities are now seeking information about the male suspect, who is described as having a medium complexion and a slim build. He was last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, black pants, and black sneakers.
