Threat of violence at Toms River Intermediate South deemed not credible

BEACHWOOD, NJ – The Beachwood Police Department received a report on May 15, regarding a threat targeting multiple students and a staff member at Toms River Intermediate School South.

The school staff became aware of the threat outside of regular school hours and promptly reported it to the Beachwood Police Department. The Beachwood patrol division and investigations unit of the department initiated a comprehensive investigation into the matter.

Following a thorough investigation, it was determined that there was no credible threat to the individuals mentioned in the threat or to the school itself. However, the investigation remains ongoing and is actively pursued by law enforcement authorities.
