19-year-old shot and killed in D.C.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Police are investigating the shooting death of a 19-year-old on Savannah Terrace on Monday.

According to the Metropolitan Police Department, at approximately 11:19 pm, officers from the Seventh District responded to a call reporting a shooting in the area of the 2200 block of Savannah Terrace.

Upon arrival, they discovered an adult male victim suffering from gunshot wounds. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services arrived and pronounced the victim dead at the scene.

The victim has been identified as 19-year-old Marquis Johnson, who did not have a fixed address.

The Metropolitan Police Department is offering a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone who provides information leading to the arrest and conviction of the individual or individuals responsible for this heinous crime. The department urges anyone with relevant information about this case to contact the police at 202-727-9099.
