Police report one dead in Jersey City crash

JERSEY CITY, NJ – Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez has released information about a fatal collision that took place in Jersey City on Monday.

At around 2:22 a.m., the Jersey City Police Department was alerted about a collision on Kennedy Boulevard near St. Pauls Avenue.

Officers arrived at the scene to find a vehicle ablaze on the northbound side of the road. The driver, preliminarily identified as a 25-year-old man from Jersey City, was declared dead at the scene. The incident is currently under investigation by the Hudson County Regional Collision Investigation Unit and the Jersey City Police Department.
