16-Year-Old Charged with Murder in Syracuse

SYRACUSE, NY – A 16-year-old male suspect has been charged with second-degree murder in connection with the shooting of 23-year-old Nykeem Stallworth on April 18.

Syracuse Police Officers responded to a shooting call at 245 Martin Luther King West, leading to the discovery of Stallworth in the driveway of 206 Furman Street. Stallworth was pronounced deceased at the scene. The 16-year-old male suspect, previously arrested for being in possession of a handgun near the scene, was identified as the suspect in the homicide.

The suspect was arraigned in Youth Court on Monday, and is currently being held at Hillbrook Juvenile Detention Center.
