Man Arrested for Obstructing Police Investigation

CUMBERLAND, MD – On Tuesday, officers from the Cumberland Police Department arrested 36-year-old Brian Shelton for interfering with a traffic stop investigation.

Shelton approached officers conducting a traffic stop on Virginia Avenue, causing a disturbance and hindering their investigation. Despite being advised to desist, Shelton continued his disruptive behavior, leading to his arrest.

Shelton is facing charges of obstructing and hindering, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, and failure to obey. He was taken before a District Court Commissioner and held on a $2,500 bond.
