Bronx Shooting Leaves One Dead

NEW YORK, NY – A shooting incident that took place in the Bronx last Wednesday has resulted in a man’s death, as confirmed by the New York Police Department’s 50th Precinct. The incident happened at approximately 6:30 am in front of 3470 Fort Independence Street.

Officers responding to the emergency call found a man, later identified as Jeremy Valencia, unconscious and unresponsive due to gunshot wounds on his chest.

27-year-old Valencia, a resident of Irwin Avenue, was attended by emergency medical services and rushed to Montefiore Medical Center.

Despite the efforts of the medical team, Valencia was pronounced deceased. The NYPD, as of this report, has not made any arrests, and the investigation into this case remains ongoing.
