Deadly stabbing at District 40 Parking Lot

Frederick, MD – The Frederick Police Department is currently conducting an active investigation into a fatal stabbing incident that occurred on Wednesday at approximately 9:44 p.m., reportedly in the parking lot at Home Depot within District 40, the former Fredericktowne Mall.

Police responded to the parking lot located along N. McCain Drive in Frederick after receiving reports of a stabbing.

Upon arrival, officers discovered a male victim who had sustained severe traumatic injuries. Immediate life-saving measures were initiated, and emergency medical services provided aid to the victim. The injured man was transported by ground to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.

FPD’s Major Crimes Unit has taken charge of the investigation. Police reported there is no indication that the incident was a random act of violence.
