NYPD seeking to identify man who fired shots on Merrick Avenue

NEW YORK, NY – The New York City Police Department is actively seeking public help to identify a suspect involved in a shooting incident which took place on Saturday, May 6, at around 5:06 am.

Police said an individual approached 221-11 Merrick Boulevard and discharged multiple rounds from a firearm before fleeing northbound on 221 Street. This incident has not resulted in any reported injuries or property damage.

The suspect is described as a male, with a dark complexion, approximately weighing 240 pounds, and sporting a beard. He was last seen wearing dark clothing and a baseball cap.
