Police continue search for Internet cafe robbery suspect

NEW YORK CITY, NY – The New York City Police Department has released new media seeking the public’s help to identify an individual involved in a robbery incident within the 72nd Precinct. The incident took place on Friday, May 5, 2023, around 5:30 am at the Ni Feng Internet Cafe located at 4416 8 Avenue.

The suspect, described as a male with a light complexion, was last seen wearing a black jacket, face mask, blue jeans, and black sneakers. The suspect reportedly knocked on the door of the cafe and when a 21-year-old male employee answered, the individual displayed a firearm and demanded entry. Once inside, the individual stole approximately $700 from the register and approximately $200 from the employee before fleeing on foot.
