LOCK HAVEN, PA – Gregory Scott Person, a 51-year-old resident of Muncy, received the maximum sentence permitted by the Pennsylvania Sentencing Guidelines on Tuesday. The sentence handed down by President Judge Craig P. Miller includes a state prison term of up to 19 years, with initial parole eligibility after 5 years.
In addition, Person has been classified as a Sexually Violent Predator (SVP) under Megan’s Law, leading to lifetime sex offender registration.
Following a two-day trial that ended on October 19, 2022, Person was found guilty of Corruption of Minors, Unlawful Contact with a Minor, and Interference with Custody of a Child. The evidence presented at trial by First Assistant District Attorney Thom Rosamilia included Facebook messages and video surveillance, which substantiated the claim that Person had arranged to meet two young teenage girls in Mill Hall borough.
He promised to provide them with gifts, such as nicotine vape pens and cash, in exchange for their worn undergarments, citing a “fetish”.
The surveillance footage also showed Person purchasing nicotine vape pens for the minors.
Despite his defense, claiming that he was “just joking” about his requests, the jury delivered guilty verdicts.
