North Arlington Man Arrested After Police Find Images, Evidence of Chats with Children

BERGEN COUNTY, N.J. – Edward A. Torres, a 24-year-old resident of North Arlington, was arrested and is facing charges of child [censored]ography production, possession, and distribution.

The arrest comes as a result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office.

On Thursday, a search warrant was executed at Torres’ residence, where evidence was discovered indicating his involvement in viewing, downloading, possessing, and distributing images and videos of sexually explicit prepubescent and pubescent children.

Torres was also discovered to be engaging in explicit dialogue with children online, with screenshots taken during these encounters.

Torres was arrested on the same day and faces multiple charges. He is currently detained at the Bergen County Jail, pending his first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack.
