Intoxicated woman xcharged with assault in Doylestown

DOYLESTOWN, PA – On Saturday, Doylestown Police arrested Morgan Cashman, a 21-year-old woman from Harleysville, following an observed assault in progress. Police officers reported seeing Cashman holding onto a victim’s shirt and delivering strikes to the face.

Upon intervention, police noted that Cashman was visibly intoxicated, as evidenced by her bloodshot, glassy eyes, unsteadiness on her feet, and a potent smell of alcohol, according to a police report.

Witnesses at the scene confirmed that the victim had attempted to walk away before Cashman attacked them, with both punches and kicks.

The victim required medical assistance and was transported to Doylestown Hospital. They were treated for multiple facial lacerations. Doylestown Police took Cashman into custody, processed her, and subsequently released her. The Doylestown Police Department has since filed a criminal complaint against Cashman, who now faces multiple charges, including Simple Assault, Harassment, Public Drunkenness, and Disorderly Conduct.
