Erie County Sheriff’s Department Arrests Fugitive in Child Endangerment Case

ERIE, PA – The Erie County Sheriff’s Department confirmed the apprehension of Jose Antonio Montano Jr., previously a resident of Erie.

Montano was taken into custody on Friday. The arrest followed an extensive search by the Sheriff’s Department.

Montano now faces charges including Possession of a Firearm Prohibited and Endangering Welfare of Children. He was arrested near Erie.

The Erie County Sheriff’s Department encourages anyone with additional information to submit a tip, with the option to remain anonymous.
