Innocent Bystander Shot in Poughkeepsie

POUGHKEEPSIE, NY – An adult male, police believed to be an innocent bystander, sustained a gunshot wound near the intersection of Main and South Cherry Streets on Monday evening at approximately 8:25 p.m. in Poughkeepsie.

Police officers and EMTs were first on the scene, where they found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the shoulder. He was stabilized at the scene before being transported to a local hospital for further treatment.
