Man shot early Monday morning in Syracuse

ROCHESTER, NY – A 20-year-old man was treated for a gunshot wound in the early hours of Monday. Officers arrived at Avenue D around 12:30 a.m. to find the victim who stated he was shot in the area of Avenue C and Hollenbeck and ran to Avenue D.

A scene was located and secured on Hollenbeck Street. The victim was transported to Strong Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

The circumstances leading to the shooting remain under investigation, and the Rochester Police Department asks anyone with information to call 911.

No arrests have been made. No suspects have been identified.
