Man Shot And Killed in Southwest D.C. Alley

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Police are investigating a shooting that left one man dead early this morning in Southwest D.C.

After receiving an alert from a concerned person, officers of the D.C. Metro Police Department arrived at the 100 block of Forrester Street at approximately 1:30 a.m.

Police officers discovered a man in an alley, visibly injured with a gunshot wound to the neck. EMS promptly responded and initiated life-saving interventions. Despite the efforts, the man was declared dead at the scene.
