Derry Township chase ends after perp slams car into apartment building

DERRY TOWNSHIP, PA – On Tuesday evening, around 8:40 pm, Derry Township Police Officers were called to the scene of a vehicular collision and a reported altercation at the Caledonia Building, Briarcrest Garden Apartments. Following their initial investigation, it was discovered that Andrez Q. Laboy, Jr. had been engaged in a dispute in the parking lot, which escalated into a vehicle chase and subsequent collisions.

The confrontation led to Laboy’s vehicle crashing into the apartment building, resulting in structural damage and displacement of two families. Laboy was also reported to have brandished a handgun at an individual involved in the altercation, though no shots were fired.

Andrez Q. Laboy, Jr. was taken into custody by the U.S. Marshall’s Fugitive Task Force the following day at approximately 11:45 am. He faces numerous charges including aggravated assault and reckless driving.
